- CIHR Group Does Relay For Life!
In honour of those who have fought with cancer and are close to members of the CIHR Group in Skeletal Development & Remodeling, CIHR Group members participated in the 12 hour overnight Relay For Life on Friday, June 15th. The event was held at TD Waterhouse Stadium on UWO's campus and was hosted to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. To see photos from the event, please click here.

- Dr. Andrew Leask and the members of the Leask lab have achieved recent recognition. Two of their research papers have been recognized as important contributions by the Faculty of 1000 (Shi-wen et al. Mol Cell Biol, 2006; Chen et al. Am J Pathol, 2005), and a third research article has been designated as 'highly-accessed' by the journal Arthritis Research and Therapy (van Beek et al. Arthritis Res Ther, 2006). Congratulations!

- Congratulations to Dr. Anita Woods and her supervisor Frank Beier on a successful doctoral thesis defense. The defense took place on December 14th. Dr. Rocky Tuan, visiting from the NIH in Bethesda, Maryland, served on Anita's examination committee as external examiner. He also gave a great lecture the following morning. Thanks again to Rocky for this!
