Welcome to my web pages.
Together with Dr. G. K. Hunter and Dr. H. A. Goldberg at The University of Western Ontario (Biochemistry, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry), I am concentrating my investigations on the peptide and protein affected precipitation of kidney stone-related calcium oxalate hydrates and on protein and collagen mediated nucleation and growth of hydroxyapatite, the main inorganic component of bone and teeth.
The research activities are conducted in close collaboration with Dr. S. Mittler (Physics & Astronomy, UWO), Dr. K. A. Rogers (Anatomy & Cell Biology, Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, UWO) and Dr. Ingo Sethmann (Institute for Applied Earth Sciences, Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany).
